Flames win home opener 7-4

Calgary Flames win their home opener 7-4 against theCanucks.   Lindholm scored his first two goals of the season and as a Flame.  He played phenomenally alongside Gaudreau and Monahan. Lindholm has become an amazing fit with Gaudreau and Monahan. They have been scoring and doing a great job. You could say the Flames won the Carolina Hurricanes trade. The Flames scored four unanswered goals in the third. They were down 4-3 after the second period and scored four goals in the third. In the 2014-2015 season, the Flames were known as the comeback kids. Comeback kids basically mean the Flames come from behind after losing by being down by a few goals and eventually winning the game. Bill Peters, the Flames new head coach wins his first game as a Flame. The special team tonight was huge and helped them win the game. Monahan tied the game 4-4 with a powerplay goal at 9:27 of the third period. Czarnik scored his first of the season and made it 6-4. After, Frolik scored a short-handed goal and made it 7-4. A short-handed goal means when a team is down by one player and they score a goal. I attended this game and it was electric. The fans were going and were really loud. The fans were really loud and they did a great job to hype up the team. This was my first time watching a home opener and I am impressed. The Flames took a couple of bad penalties but bounced back. The team had a lot of energy throughout the game and that motivated them to win the game. The Flames were 3-for-6 on the power play and went 0-for-7 against the Canucks the first game of the season. The Flames did amazing and hopefully, the team will make the postseason. IMG_1533
